And Now, A Word From Chris Brown on the Taylor Swift Drama
As the internet continues to weigh in on the latest installment of the notorious ups and downs between Taylor Swift and Kanye West over the past seven years, one singer in particular took to Instagram to share just how little he cares while also advocating for celebrities to use their platforms more productively.
Last night (July 17), Kim Kardashian took to Snapchat to reveal that her husband did in fact run lines from his infamous “Famous” to Swift in a gesture of friendship, something that Swift previously denied. As countless users took to social media to share their reactions, Chris Brown had a little something to say also.
“WHO GIVES A F**K,” Brown posted in the comment section of Swift's Instagram post explaining her side of the story.
“CELEBRITIES, FREEDOM OF SPEECH???” Breezy continued. “Come back to f**king planet earth. EVERYONE REALLY ACTING LIKE LITTLE A** KIDS! (EVEN ME AT TIMES)."
The singer then went on to talk about how, between the recent Pokémon craze and this “fake a** celebrity high school debate team,” everyone is way too focused and consumed on insignificant matters. Brown also said he’s guilty of getting caught up in “the bulls**t,” but is interested in celebrities using their platforms more wisely.
“I just wanna see things from artists (celebrities) that actually f***ing matter,” he wrote. “I DON’T NEED the press nor am I dropping an album next week.”
His rant then commented on the bigger picture of celebrity, saying that famous people don’t have “a core in them, only the surface.”
