Future Sued for $10 Million, References Ciara in His Response
Ciara isn’t the only one taking aim at Future in court. According to TMZ, A1 Recordings' founder and former collaborator Rocko is suing the Dirty Sprite rapper for unpaid commission.
Future signed with A1 in 2011 and Rocko claims Future promised to deliver six albums within the terms of the deal. He also alleges that he’s been cut out of millions of dollars in commission via contract advances, touring and endorsements.
Future also signed a deal with L.A. Reid and Epic Records in 2011, however Rocko says Epic was brought on simply to distribute the albums. It was after that when Future and Rocko apparently cut side deals, but Rocko believes he wasn’t getting his fair share to the tune of $10 million.
Taking to Twitter last night (June 8) Future responded to the lawsuit, tweeting “Ion want my n***a lookin like no baby momma..” and “Call them people & tellum u was jus playing Brodie..” The first seemed to be a dig at Ciara and her on-going lawsuit with him. Rocko or Ciara’s names were never mentioned during the quick series of tweets, but the timing and references almost certainly place them at the center of his most recent frustration.
