Is This The Deal That Earned Soulja Boy $400 Million?
When it was announced that Soulja Boy signed a $400 million deal, everyone did a double take. The details of who signed him and why, for so much, were scarce.
There’s still no word as to whether the Chicago rapper will ever receive the full $400 million of the deal. He originally said that certain major news outlets would soon be breaking the story, however that hasn’t happened yet. We may now know more about who signed SB though, and they have deep Chi-Town roots.
Yesterday (May 11), Soulja posted an Instagram picture of him shaking hands with Greek billionaire Alki David, who’s the CEO of FilmOn, an Internet streaming service which doubles as a record label. Chief Keef was a signee of theirs from spring of last year as they would release both installments of his Bang 3 album.
It’s not confirmed as to whether FilmOn is Soulja Boy’s new label home but it sure seems like it. David also posted a pic with the caption "@Souljaboy is in the fam @filmontv."
