Vivica A. Fox, Lee Daniels, Kerry Washington And More Send Love To Jussie Smollett Following Hate Crime Attack
It was recently confirmed that Empire star Jussie Smollett was the victim of a disgusting racially charged and homophobic attack reportedly carried out by two Trump supporters.
After the news of the hate crime broke, several of Smollett's fans and peers took to social media to shower him with love and support.
As previously reported, the openly gay actor was brutally attacked after leaving a Subway restaurant in Chicago at 2 a.m., on Tuesday.
Upon exiting the food chain, Smollett was reportedly approached by two white men wearing ski masks who yelled, "Aren't you that f***ot Empire n***er?" They then reportedly proceeded to place a noose around his neck, beat him, pour bleach on his battered body, and yell, "This is MAGA country!"
Smollett, 35, reportedly suffered a fractured rib as a result of the attack.
Smollett was treated at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for his injury and has been released.
As the outrage continues to spread regarding the heartbreaking and unjust act of terrorism, the likes of Empire creator Lee Daniels and several of Smollett's Hollywood peers, including Kerry Washington, Vivica A. Fox, Viola Davis, John Legend and more, took to social media to voice their support and to encourage an end to this hate.
