Wendy Williams’ Guardian Confirms She’s ‘Permanently Incapacitated’ in Shocking Health Update

New documents shed light on the entertainer’s early-onset dementia and guardianship fight.

New court documents shed light on Wendy Williams’ ongoing health struggles, leaving fans devastated.

According to TMZ, the legendary talk show host’s guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, described her as "been afflicted by early-onset dementia and, as a result, has become cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated."

Documents state that the 60-year-old star has been battling cognitive impairment for some time, which led Wells Fargo to initiate a guardianship case back in 2022 over concerns about Williams’ welfare and finances. Ultimately, the bank pushed for an independent guardian to manage her affairs.

Now, Morrissey is fighting to keep specific personal details under wraps and has asked the court to redact information about her health, finances, and family relationships.

"We respectfully request... limited redactions to protect non-public information," her legal team stated in the filing.

This latest update comes amid Morrissey’s legal battle with Lifetime over the Where Is Wendy Williams? documentary, which aired earlier this year despite attempts to block its release.

Williams was last seen in public in August during a trip to a holistic Wellness store in New Jersey.
