Twitter Throws #ChrissyTeigenIsOverParty After Her Past Homophobic, Transphobic And Woman Shaming Tweets Resurface
Chrissy Teigen has quickly built a reputation of being the social media voice that pushes the envelope just enough to garner more praise than criticism with her usually unfiltered commentary on just about everything.
However, it seems as the former swimsuit model took things way too far prior to becoming a household name as her old ignorant and brazenly offensive tweets targeting the LGBTQ community, pregnant women and certain other celebs have been unearthed.
One of the internet's most beloved celebrity — or celebrity-adjacent, as some may say — figures recently became public enemy No. 1 after her old tweets dating back to 2009 have resurfaced.
Among them, the former Sports Illustrated covergirl boldly pokes fun at the transgender community, the gay community, Mariah Carey's pregnancy weight gain, Lindsay Lohan's alleged self-harming and several other celebrities' physical appearances and apparent personalities.
Among the tweets that have stood as the most offensive across the social media platform were those targeting the LGBTQ community.
In one, penned in 2009, she wrote, "God. Can we just come out and call the freaking show 'America's next top tr**ny' because this s**t has been tr**tastic for the past five years."
Two years later, in 2011, her views on the largely marginalized community apparently didn't waver as she slammed the bill that passed, allowing gay men and women to legally marry.
"Beautiful day in NYC. Oh wait, no I mean it's terrible!" she wrote. "Complete anarchy now that gays can marry! Tea party was right!"

In another, the then-model took a dig at Mariah Carey over her weight gain during her pregnancy with her twins.
"Why is anyone surprised Mariah is having twins?" she wrote, at the time. "I was always pretty positive there were 2-15 babies growing inside of her."
Twitter users also dug up old tweets where she questioned Lady Gaga's gender, expressed her dislike for Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift, and more shockingly, backhandedly shared that she did not fancy then 10-year-old actress Quvenzhané Wallis.
As her immensely offensive tweets made their rounds, Twitter users took it upon themselves to create a new hashtag called #ChrissyTeigenIsOverParty, with several users participating in trashing John Legend's wife.
The hashtag was used so many times that it quickly began a worldwide trending topic.

The model and author is yet to publicly address the outrage over her comments.
Taking into account the ages of these ignorant tweets, here's to hoping that Chrissy Teigen has matured, grown and learned from her mistakes. One can only hope.
