Jeannie Mai and her estranged husband, Freddy Harteis, are now on the road to divorce, but a solid reason for the talk show host's decision to dump her husband is yet to be revealed.

A recent photo, however, seemed to shine some light as to why Mai may have decided to end things with Harteis, and it all boils down to political preferences.

Harteis recently took to Instagram to proudly share his political views, posing alongside President Donald Trump's son Donald Trump Jr. In the caption of the photo, he boldly thanked Trump Jr. for "helping us #makeamericagreatagain."

While neither Mai nor Harteis has exclusively cited this as the reason for their separation, it remains clear that they have differing political views as the The Real co-host, who is the product of Vietnamese immigrants, has repeatedly used her platform to stress her disapproval of Trump and his policies.

Back in 2016, she broke down in tears on the talk show while speaking on Trump's "build the wall" comments, which specifically targeted Mexican immigrants in the United States. 

She also publicly resigned as co-host of the Miss USA Pageant after being slammed for promising to stay, despite Trump's close involvement in the organization.
