Amber Rose Promotes Third Annual SlutWalk With NSFW Photo
Amber Rose got her weekend started with a bang by implementing an interesting strategy to announce her upcoming third annual Amber Rose SlutWalk Festival.
Staying on brand, the beauty posted a completely bottomless photo to Instagram, ignoring the app's no-nudity policy all in the name of "art."
The photo, which showed Rose rocking nothing but a bikini top, an opened fur coat, sunglasses and heels, was supported by the caption, "#Amberroseslutwalk."
Take a look, below:
Though it made its rounds on social media for some time, the polarizing post didn't live past a few hours as Instagram removed it for violating their guidelines.
In response to the photo removal, she shared the following video:
Rose kicked off the SlutWalk in 2015 and has continued to raise awareness since then on several issues including reproductive rights, victim blaming and what it means to be "slut-shamed," a term that is often used today.
Though she spearheads the official event, the idea initially came from Heather Jarvis and Sonya JF Barnett who spoke out in 2011 after a police officer at Toronto's York University told women that in order to lessen sexual assault incidents against them, they should avoid dressing like "sluts."
Amber Rose's third annual SlutWalk Festival takes place on October 1, 2017, in Los Angeles, California.
