Steve Harvey Reacts to the Epic Backlash He Received for Meeting Donald Trump

The comedian was slammed on Twitter.

Last week, Steve Harvey hailed a cab to Trump Tower and had a face-to-face meeting with one of the most unpopular people in the country, our president-elect Donald Trump. Following the meeting, he released a statement praising Trump as "a man who genuinely wants to make a difference" when it comes to the problems plaguing Black communities.
Well, Twitter was not happy. Harvey got dragged for the meeting and the warm and fuzzy things he said about PEOTUS, and in his first radio interview following the incident, said he was "hurt" by the backlash.

"A lot of y’all hurt me,” Harvey said. “I didn’t expect the backlash to be so fierce. I also understand if I’m going to keep getting stabbed at, at least while you’re stabbing me, you should understand my intent. I’m from the hood. I’ve been putting in the work for years. I care about these inner cities because that’s where I’m from."
Here's just a taste of the backlash that's got Harvey in his feelings:
