Charlamagne Addresses Skin Bleaching Accusations on 'Dr. Oz'
For some time now, The Breakfast Club co-host Charlamagne Tha God has been accused of bleaching his skin after fans began noticing a change in his complexion. During a visit to the Dr. Oz Show, he set the record straight on what really happened with his skin.
"I don't understand why you wouldn't love the skin you're in," he said. "For me, I love the skin I'm in. I just want my skin to be healthier. I don't want to be another complexion."
He even recalled the moment he realized he had to change his habits from within to change his skin.
“I used to drink all the time. We would be in clubs every night and I would get up and try to do morning radio," he said. "And I know one time, I literally felt so bad that I was just passed out on the floor. I had to go to the emergency room and they said I was just dehydrated. I wasn’t getting enough sleep, I was drinking too much, and I wasn’t eating right. And one day, I was out and about at a party, and I was on the roof and I met a woman named Dr. Natasha Sandy…. When I went to go see her she started teaching me about dieting and how the skin problem was something that you had to fix from the inside-out.”
