Drama: Shocking Details on Tamar Braxton Leaving 'The Real'!
Clean break? No way.
News broke this weekend that Tamar Braxton will not be returning to The Real for season three, and while the singer/reality star and the talk show's producers released a joint statement claiming the decision to be "mutual," sources say it was anything but.
“Tamar is heated that she’s leaving the show. Make no mistake about it. She’s holding what’s really transpired behind closed doors close to her chest, but she has been inundated with calls from other talk shows to spill the tea on what went down and she just might do it," a source tells HollywoodLife.com. She loved [The Real]. It was her bread and butter and she was sort of blindsided by this whole ordeal. She’s really pissed and having a hard time coping with this.”
Adds another source, “Tamar is absolutely furious. She can’t say she was completely blindsided because she feels the producers have been after her and pushing her out for a long time now. But even though she knew they wanted her gone it still really stings to have people she once thought were friends, betray her.”
The decision was confirmed on Sunday after rumors started swirling that Braxton was about to get the ax. “She wasn’t reading too well with the audience and sales people didn’t find her to be a good fit with advertisers. She was also too difficult dealing with production," a source told Love B. Scott.
Soon after the leak, Tamar posted a cryptic message to her Instagram, saying that she had "been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted (not my man or my sisters)" and that "every one who smiles in your face is NOT your friend and is NOT cheering for you and will LIE and try and tear u down to TRY and dim your light."
There's been plenty of behind-the-scenes drama at our favorite morning talk shows this year, so it'll be interesting to see how this goes down...and who winds up taking Tamar's place!
