Ciara opened up about when she knew Russell Wilson was the one for her.

During a recent appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the “How We Roll” singer reflected on her first date with Russell. "When you know, you know," she said. "From day one, we sat down, we talked. It’s so funny, ‘cause we always laugh about the first time we met. We were talking too long and having such a good time, and in such great conversation, we forgot to eat."

As they left the restaurant, Ciara revealed they later exchanged stories about that night. "He told his friend in the elevator going down, 'She's the one.' I called my best friend, Yolie, who’s my matron of honor, my makeup artist for legitimately 24 years — my best friend. I said, ‘Yolie, I don’t want to jinx anything, but I think…’ And she goes, ‘He’s the one?’ And I go, ‘Yes.’"

The Texas native later recognized that she and the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback were meant to be. "We were all in the house together. My dad was in the living room, Future was crawling on the floor, and there was a silver chair in the kitchen, and it was about to fall," she continued. "[Wilson] legit slid across that kitchen, so smooth, and caught that chair, and I was like, ‘Oh, OK,'" Ciara laughed. "I mean, it was pretty sexy, but it was pretty cute."

She added, "He always has been, since day one, one to jump in and be about that life. He goes to the teacher-parent conferences. He’s into every detail. He’s making sure the sports and gymnastics and everything is lined up."’ Watch the full interview below.

The couple married on July 6, 2016, and welcomed three children—daughters Amora Princess and Sienna Princess and their son, Win Harrison. Previously engaged to Future, Ciara shares a son, Future Zahir, with the rapper.
