Diddy Hinted At A 'Making The Band' Return, And Twitter Is Losing It
2019: The year of the reboots and remakes.
After Disney unleashed a sunburst of nostalgia with two live-action remakes for film classics The Lion King and The Little Mermaid, Bad Boy Records chief Diddy might also be leaping us down memory lane. Early 2000s epoch fans are in for a treat after Puff hinted that his MTV reality television and music competition show Making the Band could make its long-awaited return.
But, is the price right for such high demand?
āSomething interesting happened this morning that I need to share with you guys,ā he announced in an Instagram video. The Bad Boy music and business guru was in the middle of some fresh haircut grooming while addressing his fans. Apparently, Puff said MTV rang him up recently about partnering with him to bring back Making the Band, which saw 12 seasons in total since its 2000 emergence. Puff admitted that he had doubts at first since some treasures of early 2000s past are better left untouched.
Besides, he mentioned, Puff doesnāt believe this new class of artists would be able to handle his ālevel of intense coaching.ā For starters, however, he had one question for MTV: āFirst of all, do you have the level of bag that I need for that to happen?ā According to their answer, they do, Puff confirmed, but he still wouldnāt want to tarnish his legacy. Even with all that said, heād still like to give the new generation of artists the chance to experience Making the Band.
Thus, heāll leave the matter up to the peopleās choice. āIf you want your āMaking The Band,ā wherever you can find me, [tag] Diddy [with the] hashtag, #IWantMyMTB.ā
