Lil Wayne’s superstar status has allowed him to do whatever he pleases, but sometimes even he gets a harsh taste of reality.

TMZ reports that Weezy was ready to board a private jet at a Ft. Lauderdale airport. He and his entourage wanted to smoke on the flight, but the pilot wasn’t down with that. Obviously, Weezy and the crew didn’t listen and sparked up their sticky green anyway.

Well, the pilot was clearly not in the mood to do deal with them. Shortly after takeoff, he turned the plane around after being in the air for 17 minutes and landed back in Ft. Lauderdale.

In a photo obtained by TMZ, we see Wayne with blunt and Styrofoam cup in hand waiting for a ride with his baggage. Lesson learned?
