2023 NAACP Image Awards: Get Lost in Color With Tobe Nwigwe's Visuals
The 54th Annual NAACP Image Awards is just around the corner, and the nominees for this year include some of the biggest and brightest in Black Hollywood across industries.
Texas rapper and actor Tobechukwu Dubem better known as Tobe Nwigwe is nominated for “Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album” for the visual for his smash hit “Lord Forgive Me” featuring FAT, Pharrell, and Olu of EARTHGANG. He’s up against several memorable music videos, including Kendrick Lamar’s “The Heart Part 5” and Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up.” Ahead of this year’s ceremony is set to be hosted by Academy Award winner and rap legend Queen Latifah. “Fye Fye” ft Fat Nwigwe
After sharing a series of snippets on Instagram, Tobe and his team released the visual for their 2021 single “Fye Fye” featuring Nwigwe. Tobe’s signature mint color floods the screen for this uptempo hit.
“Lord Forgive Me” ft. Fat, Pharrell, Olu of EARTHGANG
Tobe is nominated for “Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album” for the visual for his smash hit “Lord Forgive Me” featuring FAT, Olu of EARTHGANG. Pharrell, the latter of which produced the record.
It’s the fifth and final single from Tobe Nwigwe’s “audio experience” moMINTs, which found the musician reflecting on his complex past.
