Jamie Foxx Seen In First Public Sighting Since Suffering 'Medical Mystery'
Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx was seen waving at fans over the weekend in his first public appearance since being hospitalized with a mystery “medical complication,” last April.
In a clip captured by TMZ, which first broke the news, the 55-year-old was seen waving from a mega-boat passing along the Chicago River. As another boat of supporters sailed by, they erupted in cheers while the actor, wearing a collared shirt and dark shades, joyfully waved back.
Details surrounding Foxx’s current health status or what event triggered his hospitalization remains unclear months after his daughter, Corrine Foxx, took to social media where she revealed that her father had “experienced a medical complication” but “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery” in a since-deleted post.
Foxx had since been moved to a rehab facility in Chicago, where he’s been visited by family members amid his ongoing recovery.
Hollywood stars including the actor’s The Cloned Tyrone co-star John Boyega recently shared an update on the industry veteran telling E! Canada that Foxx was “all good” after reportedly speaking to him over the phone. “So we’re just going to wait for him to reappear when he wants to. You know, privacy and all,” the British star added.
In May, the Ray star broke his silence when he shared a brief statement on Instagram, writing, "Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed," with several emojis.
