Jason Momoa Shaved His Famous Beard, And His Fans Are Losing It On Twitter
Jason Momoa is now almost unrecognizable after shaving for the first time since 2012.
The actor bid farewell to his famous beard, which he rocked as Aquaman and Khal Drogo, in order to raise awareness about the overabundance of plastic that’s ruining the environment.
In honor of his new look, the 39-year-old released a video showing him walking through an area littered with plastic and him shaving his beard while promoting aluminum as a much more recyclable product than plastic, which most water bottles are made out of. “I just want to do this to bring awareness that plastics are killing our planet,” he says.
It leads to Momoa introducing his own water, which is housed in aluminum bottles. In the caption of his Instagram post promoting his new product, he explains his reasoning for his new awareness campaign.
“I’m SHAVING this beast off, It’s time to make a change. A change for the better… for my kids, your kids, the world,” he writes, in part. “Let’s make a positive change for the health of our planet. Let’s clean up our oceans, our land. Join me on this journey. Let’s make the switch to infinitely recyclable aluminum.”
Many reacted to both Jason Momoa shaving his beard and his new water line
