ScHoolBoy Q Talks Collaborating With 50 Cent
The collab between 50 Cent and ScHoolBoy Q is not only real, but it's finally found a home on a big upcoming release, Q revealed in a recent interview.
"50 was in L.A. and he called me up and was like come to the studio," Groovy Q explained to TRACE Urban. The outcome: a song called "Flip on You," the G-Unit honcho's first follow-up with the TDE camp since "We Up" featuring Kendrick Lamar in March 2013.
"It was right after the Lakers lost," Q added with a laugh, "... we messed around and made that record. It was real easy, we chopped it up, we really got to know each other, then vibed out."
The "Man of the Year" rapper said that they got to know each other so well, in fact, that when the song didn't make it on Q's Top Dawg/Interscope debut, Oxymoron, Fif decided to pick it up for his own debut of sorts, his first album since leaving Interscope.
TDE and G-Unit fans may have to wait until Animal Ambition drops on June 3 to hear the final mix, however.
"You got to go and get that," Q said. "You got to get that 50 album."
