White House Unveils New Obama Family Portrait

The White House has unveiled a new Obama family portrait that shows how the family has changed in two years.

Just in time for Christmas, the White House has unveiled the newest First Family portrait.

Official White House photographer Pete Souza shot the photo last week in the Oval Office after the Obamas returned from Sunday services at nearby St. John’s Church. The first impression it makes is: My, how Malia, 13, and Sasha, 10, have grown — and their father has grown grayer. The second is: Where’s Bo?

The Obama family last posed for an official portrait in 2009 taken by celebrity photographer Annie Leibowitz. The decision to use Souza was not just a cost-cutting measure but shows sensitivity to Americans struggling in these recessionary times.
