T.I. Released From Prison, Sent Back to Halfway House

The rapper has been removed from federal prison.

T.I. is on the move again. The rapper has been sent back to a Georgia halfway house after spending the last two weeks in a federal prison.

According to TMZ.com, prison officials felt Tip had learned his lesson for having unauthorized company on a tour bus as he rode home from Arkansas’ Forrest City Correctional Facility late last month. The Rubber Band Man was shipped back to federal custody after spending a night at a halfway house.

Now, he’s back in cozy confines and his lawyer Steve Sadow is happy.

"We have good reason to believe that this favorable result was reached because of the proactive and assertive approach taken to protect T.I.'s rights by providing B.O.P. officials and the media with reliable and accurate information and that T.I. did not intend to violate his transfer furlough or any other B.O.P. rules en route from the prison facility in Arkansas to the halfway house in Atlanta,” Sadow told TMZ.

T.I. is still on schedule to be released on September 29, after which time he’ll be on probation for a year.
