<p>If it wasn?t clear that <a target="_blank" href="http://www.bet.com/topics/t/the-occupy-movement.html">Occupy protesters</a> weren?t already dissatisfied, they are now making sure top officials hear them, starting with <a target="_blank" href="http://www.bet.com/topics/b/barack-obama.html">President Obama.</a></p>

<p>On Saturday, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.occupydsm.org/">Occupy Des Moines</a> activists vowed to shut down President Barack Obama?s campaign offices and camp outside of them around the clock.</p>
<p> </p>
<p></p>
<p>?We have every intention to keep this place closed down until we are satisfied,? Frank Cordaro, an activist and founder of the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.catholicworker.org/communities/commlistall.cfm">Catholic Worker group</a> in Des Moines <a target="_blank" href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/occupy-activists-set-up-camp-outside-obama-re-election-office-in-des-moines/2011/12/17/gIQAHpz70O_story.html">told</a> the Associated Press.</p>
<p> </p>
<p></p>
<p>A small group of activists visited Obama?s nondescript office in a downtown strip mall over the weekend following larger rallies to mark the three-month anniversary of the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.occupywallst.org/">Occupy Wall Street</a> movement in New York. When they arrived, they found the door locked.</p>
<p> </p>
<p></p>
<p>The group hoped to read a statement demanding that Obama cut military spending in half and dismantle the military in order to create jobs and balance the budget.</p>
<p> </p>
<p></p>
<p>This is not the first time protesters have targeted President Obama, however. Earlier this month demonstrators<a target="_blank" href="http://www.bet.com/news/politics/2011/12/01/occupy-wall-street-protests-obama-fundraiser-in-new-york-city.html"> greeted</a> the chief executive in New York, where he attended three top-dollar campaign fundraising events.</p>
<p> </p>
<p></p>
<p>They say that they will continue efforts to make sure the president hears their message.</p>
<p> </p>
<p></p>
<p>Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt <a target="_blank" href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/occupy-activists-set-up-camp-outside-obama-re-election-office-in-des-moines/2011/12/17/gIQAHpz70O_story.html">declined</a> to comment.</p>
