Slick Rick, Will.I.Am Release Limited Edition Eyewear
Slick Rick has teamed up with Will.I.Am for a three-piece collection of limited edition eyewear. Will.I.Am has been focusing on growing his eyewear brand, ill.i.Optics, and bringing in some cool cats to lend a hand in the designs.
The ill.i x Slick Rick collection was inspired by “vintage silhouettes and classic hip hop aesthetics” and will retail for $340 each. Styles are also handmade in Italy, completely unisex, and colorways include electric purple, gloss black and matte crystal gray.
“Music and fashion have always been parallel, and both are my true passions. Ill.i x Slick Rick represents our vision for the next level of fresh, fly and classic eyewear,” Slick Rick said.
This will be the first of several ongoing artist collaborations. With beach weather just months away, we’re eager to see what other names turn up with capsule collections of their own.
