Since sharing his Testimony in April, New Orleans singer/rapper August Alsina has been traveling the nation promoting his project like most new artists do. With the welcoming reception, he's now ready to kick off his own 20-city tour.

Alsina announced the Testimony Live Tour via his Instagram account on Tuesday (June 24). The shows, which launch on August 14 in Seattle, will hit major cities across the U.S., including San Francisco, Portland, OR, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and New York, before wrapping up in Kansas City on September 21.

The Testimony Live tour announcement comes just after Alsina's Vibe magazine Summer 2014 cover, which pegged him alongside Mack Wilds and Ed Sheeran as the new class of R&B.

Beforehand, Alsina will be performing at the 2014 BET Awards on Sunday, June 29.
