Watch: What Did Kevin Durant Say During His Introductory Press Conference With the Warriors!?
When Kevin Durant announced that he's leaving Oklahoma City to sign with the Golden State Warriors on the 4th of July, many of his critics and even peers thought he was taking a shortcut to an NBA title.
Just don't try telling KD that.
Upon being formally introduced by the Warriors on Thursday, Durant shot down the notion that he's taking the easy way out.
"Nothing in this league is easy. There's no shortcuts. We've still got 82 games," Durant said.
He added: "This was the hardest road because I don't know anybody here. I've never lived in this community, never played for this team and I took a leap."
Bruh... the hardest road, a leap? Really?
You're joining a squad that went an NBA-record 73-9 and came within a game of winning the title. You couldn't beat 'em, so you're joining 'em and that's all good, but that's what you call "the hardest road" and a "leap?"
Listen, part of free agency is choosing a situation that works best for you and KD had all the right in the world to sign with the Warriors, but we're not buying the hardest road and leap part of it. After all, he's joining a team with three fellow All-Stars in back-to-back MVP Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

KD credited the aforementioned three All-Stars for showing up to greet him during his free-agent meeting with the Warriors last week, adding that Curry's text to "just trust what we're saying" resonated a lot with him.
Trust what we're saying — the Warriors should cruise to the NBA title barring any injuries.
Congrats on your decision, KD.
