Ja Rule Finds Prison Pals in Disgraced CEO, Politician

Ja Rule has become fast friends with ex Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski and former New York pol Alan Hevesi.

While locked up for a 2007 gun charge, Ja Rule has made some unlikely friends. The New York Daily News reports that the famed Queens rapper has formed a bond with infamous white collar criminals Dennis Kozlowski and Alan Hevesi, former Tyco Inc. CEO and New York State controller, respectively. To Ja Rule, the two men are known affectionately as "Koz" and "Hevey D."
“Outside, you don’t meet guys like this every day. This place is amazing,” Rule said of his state-emposed digs at Mid-State Correctional Facility. The "Put It on Me" rapper has been behind bars since last June and is serving out a two-year sentence. With support from his two new friends, he studied for and earned his GED.
"I was studying for my GED and Koz came in and talked to me and said, if you need any help, let me know,” Ja Rule said. “Koz just got out on work release. Not to say I wish he was still here, but they’re both great, smart guys.”

Kozlowski was sentenced to up to 25 years for embezzlement, while Hevesi could do up to four years for accepting political kickbacks.
Ja Rule is planning to release his seventh album, Pain Is Love 2, later this year. Previously, he gave a behind bars interview to Vlad TV where he said he was at peace with his jail sentence.
