A Pennsylvania mother of two was fatally shot during a robbery of her tax refund, and her mother wants the killers to be haunted for the rest of their lives.

In late February, 27-year-old Keiauna Davis showed up for work at the Dollar Store and planned to use cash from her $3,000 tax refund to buy supplies for her daughter Aliviyah's birthday party. While Davis was at work, her co-worker Laya Whitley (above left) saw the cash and texted her friend Dane James Taylor (above right) to rob Davis after work, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Taylor and Whitley, both 21, conspired to rob Davis of the refund money. Taylor hired 23-year-old Kaijin Xavier Scott (above center) to drive him to the location.

After Davis left work, Scott and Taylor followed in a car as she walked down the street. Eventually, they pulled in front of her and Scott got out and pretended to fix something on the Toyota Corolla. Then Taylor jumped out and chased Davis, who ran and pleaded for him to stop, according to the criminal complaint.

A scuffle between Taylor and Davis ensued and a gun was pulled out. The first shot fired missed Davis; however, the second shot hit her in the hip. Taylor grabbed Davis's purse and ran back to the car, TribeLive reported.

Taylor paid Scott $800 for driving, according to the Allegheny Police Department.

Sheila Detwiler, Davis’ mother, is disgusted people killed her daughter over money.

“It wasn't just $3,000 you took. You took so much more from so many people,” Detwiler told TribeLive.

Taylor, Whitley, and Scott were arrested and charged in connection with the killing.

Detwiler said she wants the three alleged killers to be haunted by their actions.

“They will suffer much more than my daughter did,” she told the newspaper. “They've got the rest of their lives to suffer. I want this to haunt them.”
