Oprah Is All About the Kardashians

"I can't believe how hard they work," she said.

Who would've thought there would be a day when Oprah Winfrey would come to the Kardashians's defense? After Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson slammed the reality TV family for being "famous for no talent," the mega mogul is saying that she's got it all wrong and that they're, in fact, really hard workers.

"I interviewed the Kardashians two years ago and I can't believe how hard they work," she said in an interview on Australian radio's Kyle and Jackie O Show. "People don't understand that. People think, 'Oh, if a television camera's just following you, then that's just easy."

Oprah was referencing her 2012 sit-down interview with the family for her Next Chapter series, which aired on her network OWN. Oprah's praise was in response to Wilson's confession that she refused to present alongside Kendall and Kylie Jenner at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards because "what they stand for is totally against what I stand for." She continued, "They seem a bit superficial and their careers aren't really based on talent."

Oprah, who knows a thing or two about hard work, says that the sisters — including the original trio Kim, Khloé and Kourtney — are some of the hardest working women in the business and have even earned the hefty title of "icons."

"I disagree that they don't work," she said. "I think that they have become their own iconic phenom in this country and abroad, and you don't get that by not doing some work, you just don't. To really create a reality series that looks like something's actually happening, it means you have to be on all the time."

And she's got a first-hand account as to how dedicated they are: "We were there [filming Next Chapter] for seven hours and they were gonna tape another seven hours after I left," she said. "No matter who you are, that is work."

So, there you have it. Oprah loves the Kardashians, but we wonder what she thinks of the recent controversy where they were billed as "America's First Family." Take a look at the video below as a reminder:
