Columbus Short just can't seem to get it together.

TMZ reports that the former Scandal star recently was sentenced to a month behind bars after upsetting a judge with a bunch of excuses for violating probation.

According to prosecutors, the actor violated his probation from a 2014 assault case by continuing to smoke marijuana, with tests showing that his THC levels were increasing week by week. On top of that, he hadn't completed a single hour of community service.

After he and his attorney tried playing the sympathy card, telling the judge his sister had died of heart failure last week, the judge had had enough, refusing to buy into it.

Though he apologized, the judge sentenced him to a month in jail in addition to six more months in a residential drug treatment program.
