Twists and Turns Unravel in 'The Oval': Barry's Identity, Priscilla's Vendetta, and Victoria's Deception
We pick up this episode of The Oval from when Richard has to identify Barry’s son in the morgue. Plot twist. It’s not Barry. But that is the body that was in Kareem’s apartment, so wtf is going on? Is Barry still alive? The mystery of his whereabouts continues.
Back to Priscilla and Sam. Last week, Priscilla ordered some men to come to their apartment and beat Sam's breaks off. We’re back in that moment. The men didn’t kill him, but they did beat him enough for it to be uncomfortable and, at one point, drew guns on him. Sam agreed that he would leave their home and not bother her again. However, for some reason, it still feels like this ain’t over.
The Hunter wakes up for a hot second and is alert enough to talk with the doctor about what happened to him. When Hunter hears that Eli is the interim president, he tries to get up but quickly passes out. But the good news is, his vitals are looking good.
Meanwhile, Donald figures out where Alonzo got the fentanyl-laced drugs that incapacitated the president. This is where they also figure out that their mule, Allen, is nowhere to be found. What they don’t know just yet is that Allen is in jail, literally fighting for his life.
Next, we find Eli and Victoria kicking it, and she reveals that she knew about the pharmacy selling drugs and that she’s the one who put the plan in motion to make sure Hunter got a hold of the drugs that knocked him out. She also positioned Alonzo and Allen to take the fall.
Now we’re at the hospital with Richard and Nancy. Richard goes back to her room to see how she’s doing, and she is the same, still high. Richard doesn’t even get to mention Barry before she starts babbling about the affair she had with Richard’s father. Richard doesn’t want any details, but she offers a lot, like how his pops was better in bed. Richard tries to keep his anger in check, but you can see the rage bubbling beneath the surface. For some reason, the doctor says Nancy can go home on supervised release. Richard has had enough and decides that he’s going to leave, but he’ll send Priscilla to pick her up..
The episode winds down with Eli and Victoria getting it on, and then Hunter walks in on it. That’s not going to go well. The other loose end is Simone. She’s still locked in that bunker.
But more about all the above in the next episode.
