Miguel Shares Bloody Photos of His Back After Attaching Himself to Meathooks for Live Show
Miguel is urging his followers to consider their connection with pain.
Earlier this week, the Grammy Award winner took to his Instagram page, where he shared a photo of his punctured back and blood-stained shirt from a recent performance as part of promotion for his upcoming album “VISCERA.”
On Friday, (Aug. 25), the “Sky Walker” singer held a “Viscera Experience” at the Sony Studio in Los Angeles. During the show, he pushed his boundaries in a shocking display, as he suspended himself in the air using meathooks. The 37-year-old also showcased four songs from the forthcoming project, each intricately woven with elements of bodily manipulation.
Miguel captioned his post “VISCERA” before going on to ask his followers, “What is your relationship to pain? What is your relationship to change ?”
However, the act itself drew mixed reactions from fans, including one online user who asked, “How on earth do we transition from Adorn to THIS?”
A release date for the singer’s upcoming LP has not been announced. It will serve as Miguel’s first studio project in nearly six years since releasing the Grammy-nominated “War & Leisure.”
