Lil Boosie Speaks From Behind Bars

The incarcerated rapper says he misses his family and his freedom.

Rapper Lil Boosie, who is currently serving out his two year sentence at the Angola prison in Louisiana, recently spoke out from behind bars. This past weekend, the "Wipe Me Down" MC released photos of himself from inside his cell, and now he is talking about moving out of Louisiana once he is released.

In an exclusive interview with XXL magazine, Boosie says that his decision to leave Louisiana is due to being targeted. "I’m a major target down here. I’ll thank God for everything and get back to the money," he said. Boosie says police in Baton Rouge stole his music from his house. "They took my hard drive out of my house after I got arrested. I have albums for days in there. They still haven’t returned it. They’ve had it for damn near a year now. I need that music."

Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, has been on 23-hour lockdown since June. He expressed his feelings and well-being in the interview. "Some days I’m maintaining, but I’m missing my family and the life I had out there."

Boosie is being linked to five murders, and is currently fighting a first degree murder charge. The rapper's home was recently put on the auction block by the state's Sheriff's Department.
