Pharrell, Kendrick Lamar Among NBA All-Star Weekend Performers
This year's NBA All-Star Weekend is full of big name performers. According to Billboard, Pharrell and Kendrick Lamar are among the long list of recording artists billed for the 2014 NBA All-Star Weekend festivities, to be held at the New Orleans Arena later this month.
Lamar kicks off All-Star Weekend's Saturday night (Feb. 15) events with a performance before the Sprite Slam Dunk competition, while Pharrell is billed to headline the Entertainment Series presented by Diddy's Sean Jean at Macy's clothing line, Sunday (Feb. 16).
The 40-year-old Grammy winner was recently named a performer at next month's Oscars, too. His All-Star Game set will go down during the player introductions, and will feature special guests.
Others slated for game day are Janelle Monáe, Earth Wind & Fire, Dr. John, Trombone Shorty, and Big Easy native Gary Clark Jr., who are all scheduled for the half-time show.
Clark Jr. is also confirmed to sing the U.S. National Anthem.
