Here's Why Suge Knight Is Temporarily Out of Jail
According to TMZ, Suge Knight’s health decline has landed him back in the hospital yet again as the Death Row Records co-founder struggles with blood clots.
The site has reported that Knight is being held at USC Medical Center and has been transferred to and from the hospital due to his health concerns. Currently, Knight has been placed in solitary confinement at the L.A. County Jail while awaiting a murder trial. He has argued, however, that his treatment while being separated from the rest of the prison population has taken a toll on his health.
This was an issue his 21-year-old son Suge Jacob Knight spoke to as well, sharing with BET.com that the issue had been ongoing between Knight, the jail staff and prosecutors on the case. Explaining that his placement in solitary confinement has not allowed his father to properly heal, he added that Knight’s issues with blood clots were almost fatal on three occasions while incarcerated.
“Another thing that really got to me is that they're not allowing him to heal his blood clots,” he said in the interview. “That's really serious because his health, again, is really bad. What I do know is that when you're in jail, you're covered by the government because you're now their responsibility. How can you do that when you send the D.A. to override the doctors? When the doctors are saying that he's in no condition to return to solitary confinement? This is why when I was told he almost reached fatality three times, it was definitely believable.”
TMZ reports that Knight is currently in stable condition.
