Wale Confronts Twitter Troll at WWE Event
Wale's Twitter beef grew legs Monday (March 31), when he confronted someone in real life, who was heckling him online.
According to TMZ, the Maybach Music Group rapper was attending a World Wrestling Entertainment event called "Raw" at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., where Twitter user Side Show Joe spotted him in the crowd and began taunting him via the social network.
"You at Monday night raw f--kboy? Come see me in the ring and catch this stunner @wale," Joe wrote, among a slew of other threats and insults.
Wale responded, eventually, by approaching Joe at his seat.
One witness immediately hit up TMZ and reported that Wale punched him. A World Star Hip Hop video has surfaced, however, showing that the confrontation was much milder than a SmackDown, and that there were plenty of people surrounding both fellas to keep them at bay.
Mere moments later, turns out all was definitely well. Wale resumed tweeting, this time from another local hot spot, as did Joe, who admitted that there was no closed fist hits from either side, they "just shoved each other," he wrote.
