Here's How Drake's 'Hotling Bling' Video and the Super Bowl Will Come Together
Drake’s “Hotline Bling” video was perhaps the most memorable in hip hop last year and it’s only fitting that it will be featured in an ad during a football game representing the best teams from the 2015 NFL season.
During Sunday’s Super Bowl airing on CBS, Drake’s video for “Hotline Bling” will be the subject of a T-Mobile advertisement, and yes, Drake and his turtleneck make an appearance. Under the ad slogan “Wireless carriers ruin everything,” during which execs request the Toronto native include the fine print of extra phone charges in his song, T-Mobile uses Drizzy’s 2015 smash hit about women formerly calling him on his cellphone to their advantage.
Very clever.
Super Bowl 50 airs Sunday at 6:30 p.m. EST on CBS. Watch T-Mobile’s Super Bowl advertisement with Drake below.
