Tracy Morgan Facing 'Tough' Recovery After Accident
Tracy Morgan may be on the mend after suffering serious injuries from a major car crash earlier this year, but the comedian is far from fully recovered, according to his attorney.
"He's really having a tough time," his New York lawyer Benedict P. Morelli tells People.com, adding that he has been "struggling" to walk again and uses a wheelchair full time. "He's making incremental progress," says Morelli. "But they'll have to wait another month before they assess him cognitively."
Having suffered traumatic brain injuries, a broken leg and several fractures to his face, Morgan continues to undergo at-home therapy following his release from a rehabilitation facility in mid-July. While his recovery seems to be going slowly, Morgan's pal, comedian Neal Brennan, recently told Seth Meyers that the 30 Rock star's sense of humor hasn't suffered.
Morgan is suing the Walmart corporation for its involvement in the June crash, caused by a driver for the megastore. The six-vehicle wreck resulted in serious injuries to Morgan and the death of his pal James McNair.
