Jeezy Drops Documentary on the 10th Anniversary of TM:101
The official countdown has begun to Jeezy’s upcoming album Church in These Streets. In advance of its release on November 13th, the rapper has released a short documentary on his 10th Anniversary concert for his debut record TM:101.
The star-studded event featured some of music’s biggest names, including T.I., Andre 3000, Kanye West and Usher. The show took place back in July in Atlanta’s Fox Theatre and with the documentary, Jeezy offers a look at his preparation before the big event.
During a radio interview, Jeezy reflected on the past ten years. “If you knew what I was doing before that... Those ten years were short lived," he said. "That’s part of my ten year plan, when I jumped in the game, I wanted to be heard, I wanted to speak for my people. This concert, he added, was his way of celebrating what the album had accomplished.
Jeezy also made good on his recent promise to drop a new piece of content every day before his next album drops. Among the most impactful has been his #SundayService series, meant to create a discussion among the community in regards to several social issues. One of his most powerful was the letter he released on Instagram, which discussed the struggles of the Black community and racial profiling.
We expect his new album will continue the conversation.
