LL Cool J Opens Up About How His Wife Views His Sex Symbol Status
LL Cool J is the latest celebrity friend to stop by Fat Joe’s new show, “Fat Joe Talk.”
The “Proclivities” emcee has long been hailed as a timeless sex symbol. His chiseled physique, trademark smile, and smooth lyrical flow have captivated hearts across generations.
During the interview, LL was asked whether his status as a sex symbol ever posed challenges for his wife, Simone Johnson.
“You mean when she’s walking in a store or walking out of the store?” the Queens native quipped before asking Joe: “You have ever been to the Bronx Zoo?”
He referenced a clever analogy, sharing, “They might have a tiger or something like that running around there, and you know what you’re getting into. So if you get a job at the zoo and you work with the tigers, you know what you’re working with. Now, mind you, the tiger needs to be respectful and honest, be honorable, and not be a piece of work… that being said, there were other choices.”
The rapper turned Hollywood star made it clear, “It’s not that I’m insensitive or emotionally tone-deaf to being respectful to people and the emotional layers that come with relationships. My point is, it is very important for you to pursue your dreams wholeheartedly if you’re going to be with somebody.”
LL and Simone met as teenagers and dated on and off for nearly a decade before finally tying the knot in 1995. They share four children.
