2021 Soul Train Awards: 3 Times ‘Best Dance Performance’ Nominee Normani Displayed Her Sultry Moves
From her style to songs she creates that we can’t stop playing, 2021 Soul Train Awards nominee Normani has it all. However, her soulful melodies are just the tip of the iceberg as far as what this songstress has to contribute not only to the art.
Since departing from Fifth Harmony, Normani has shown that she can carry the weight of being that girl all on her own. Between her music and eye-catching visuals like “Wild Side”, Normani’s drive and talent proves she’s a force to be reckoned with.
At the 2021 Soul Train Awards, Normani has positioned herself to be the one to beat for “Best Dance Performance.” Before we find who will take home the honor, take a look at three songs that prove why the singer deserves her nomination.
“Motivation”
R&B princess Normani took fans back to the early 2000s with this uptempo record that paid homage to some of the female artists that dominated the charts back then, including Beyonce, Ciara, and Kelly Rowland. The rain scene with the sprinklers brings back memories of Ciara’s “Gimme Dat,” costume and dancing included.
“Wild Side”
It had been two years since fans ate the last bit of the “Motivation” rollout but what the singer delivered proved the wait to be well worth it. Normani almost bares it all in the sultry Cardi B. assisted track choreographed by the esteemed Sean Bankhead.
“Waves”
Normani is a beauty that is out of this world in the music video for her 2019 6lack assisted single “Waves.” However, it's the sultry dance moves that sent viewers into another galaxy.
