Drake and ‘Rightful Wife’ Sexyy Red Get Cozy in Backstage Photo
Drake thinks viral rapper Sexyy Red is wifey material.
The Canadian rap star was recently spotted sharing an intimate moment with the “Pound Town” rapper during his “It’s All a Blur Tour.”
The “Rich Flex” emcee shared a snap of him and the St. Louis-based Sexyy Red on his Instagram Story. The photo was taken backstage at Barclays Center during the tour’s Brooklyn, New York stop.
In the photo, Drake affectionately wraps his arm around her, planting a gentle smooch on her cheek. Red can be seen embracing the tender moment, placing her hand on the side of Drake’s head.
“Just met my rightful wife @sexyyred,” Drake captioned his post. In a since-deleted post, the Grammy Award winner added, “If my girl see y'all backstage being thirsty it’s gonna get smokey.”
Sexxy Red also shared the photo on her Instagram page. “I’m yo favorite rapper favorite rapper,“ she captioned her post.
A fan-captured TikTok video from Tuesday night’s concert of Drake walking off stage mid-show to give the 25-year-old a hug from her seat. “Look, they got my baby mama here tonight,” he told the crowd before kissing the rising star on the head.
Red, born Janae Anand Nierah Wherry, has gained major attention since releasing her viral Tay Keith-produced single “Pound Town” at the top of the year. She has since scored her first-ever charting record after Queens rapper Nicki Minaj joined the remix, “Pound Town 2.”
