Andy Samberg, Terry Crews Praise Kendrick Lamar
Andy Samberg and Terry Crews have been spending a lot of time together lately, first as co-stars in Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 and later joining forces for the upcoming Fox comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The comedic actors had great chemistry when we sat down with them to talk about their new animated film, the sequel to the 2009 hit Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.
Samberg and Crews chat to us about which actors resemble them (Samberg sees himself as Crews with a dash of Barbara Streisand), and excitedly discuss hip hop wunderkind Kendrick Lamar and his controversial diss track "Control."
"Kendrick Lamar is a beast," gushed Samberg, who worked with the rapper on the humorous Saturday Night Live digital short "The Lonely Island." Crews shared his enthusiasm for the West Coast sensation: "I met Kendrick at the BET Awards, and I told him, 'you are heads and tails above anybody else in this game.'"
