Chika Claims Plane Incident Involving T.I. And Tiny’s Granddaughter ‘Almost Killed Her’
In June, rapper Chika was entangled in a controversy after launching an online tirade about a crying toddler during a red-eye flight. To make matters more delicate, it was later disclosed that the child was none other than the granddaughter of rapper T.I. and his wife, Tiny, which only intensified the criticism directed towards the Alabama-based emcee.
In a recent interview published by Rolling Stone on Thursday, July 27, Chika candidly addressed the incident, revealing that her struggles with mental illness contributed to her issues with Zonnique Pullins’ child on that flight in first class.
The 26-year-old told the outlet that she felt online critics “used that moment as a reason to dog pile,” and that the situation “was completely blown out of proportion.“
She added, “I have a lot of thoughts on that actually. I think that any other person on this fu**ing planet being frustrated and venting like that would never be taken as ‘harshly’ as everyone else took it.”
The “Crown” rapper said the issue was more complicated than viewers may want to accept.
“There’s a lot of moving parts there that people wanted to ignore in order to have a different conversation, so I allowed them to,” she continued. “If I were to have read into it any further, it would’ve killed me, and it almost did. So ultimately, I just let that conversation happen and let people think what they want to think because who I am is going to shine through all of that sh*t anyway.”
In one of many insult-filled posts, Chika wrote, “I hope you get a paper cut between each finger tomorrow, you senseless wench.”
This would ultimately trigger a response from Tiny and her daughter, however, the rapper doubled down on her actions, refusing to apologize. In a later post, Chika blamed the entire ordeal on a manic episode.
