Wisconsin Man Kills Two People And Has Shootout With Police
On Saturday (Feb. 5), Wisconsin police responded to a fatal shooting of three people inside of an Apartment complex, including the suspect.
According to a press conference held by Brown Deer Police Department, they believe the suspect, 26, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
“Our officers, when they arrived, the suspect was on the second floor balcony firing at our officer,” Police Chief Peter Nimmer said during the evening conference. The suspect struck the K-9 unit but nobody was hurt.
Chief Nimmer says the incident began as a domestic dispute.
Eventually, authorities made their way into the apartment building, where they discovered a 23-year-old Black woman and a 31-year-old white man. A 36-year-old Black man suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg. In the apartment, unharmed, was a child.
According to Instagram clips posted by ItsOnSite, the Black woman was the mother of the unharmed child. The suspect even went live on Facebook, following the shootout with police.
“Just come get my son first,” the suspect is heard yelling at authorities from the second-floor balcony. “I just want to say I’m sorry,” he said to the phone. “This gonna be the last day everybody hear from me bruh.”
He continued, “I’ve been playing with and all types of s**t. I’m not straight but I’m not crazy… “I ain’t killing myself though.”
The suspect even showed the outfit he wanted to be buried in, while continuing to hold the firearm.
“I failed you and everybody else,” he said in a prayer. “Please watch over my son as he continues to live his life and I pray best for his mama and her family.”
Before ending the video, he requested a specified person to give money that he owes him to his son’s grandparents, on the mother’s side.
As the shooting remains an ongoing investigation, police have plans to release the names of the victims and suspect Sunday (Feb. 6).
