Fans Are Losing Their Sh** Over Nivea's Comeback On 'Tha Carter V'

And we see you too, Ashanti!

When Georgia’s early 2000s R&B treasure Nivea told us in BET’s original Finding series that she would be returning for her spot in the R&B circle, she meant every word.

The Complicated songstress has already fired up the mic for her 2018 return with the forthcoming “Circles” single that she previewed for fans via Instagram and pledged to drop on Friday (September 28). That’s not the only surprise Nivea had in store for Friday, though.

With the release of Lil Wayne’s long-awaited The Carter V album, the R&B starlet (who shares a son and former engagement with the New Orleans rap idol) graces the guest appearance list for the Marvin Sapp-sampled “Dope New Gospel” record. Fittingly placed on the song amid her recent revelations, Nivea delivers the chorus on the self-actualizing track that sonically borrows from Sapp’s gospel hit “Never Would Have Made It.” Nivea joins Ashanti as another R&B assist for Weezy’s twelfth studio undertaking, debuting her 2018 vocals three songs after the Murder Inc. singer’s “Start This Sh** Off Right” feature on C5.

Now that all 23 tracks of the project are fresh out for their first day and fans have hit play, the internet’s official consensus is in: Nivea and Ashanti’s still got it.

Check out their Twitter reviews of the ladies’ R&B homecomings in C5 and hear the tracks for yourself below.
