Bill Cosby has a champion in Cee Lo Green, who earlier this year was also accused of date rape.

The singer opened up to TMZ about public perceptions and, since Cosby's lawyer filed for a dismissal of the charges brought by one of the accusers, he says it's about time the comedian started fighting back. 

"He hadn't said anything, which is also to some an admission of guilt," Green said. "It doesn't seem fair any way you slice it."

Green himself was lambasted in the court of public opinion when an acquaintance alleged that he slipped a drug in her drink and that she woke up in bed next to him with no memory of the rest of the night. Although he was cleared of the charges, he was especially shamed after he attempted to explain his own account on Twitter.

Similarly, multiple women have come forward in the media against Cosby, claiming that he drugged and raped them. One woman filed a lawsuit this week in California alleging that he molested her 40 years ago at the Playboy Mansion when she was only 15. His lawyer counters that she has attempted to extort him for $100,000 about a month ago, in exchange for her silence, and as more women began talking to the press, raised it to $250,000.

"It's just unfortunate," Green said, "because he's so beloved to so many people."
