Cardi B Stars in a New Beats Ad and Causes Twitter Frenzy With Tattooed Wig
Cardi B is hip-hop's "it girl." The Bronx-native rapper has captivated fans since the release of her debut album, Invasion of Privacy in 2018. The album remains her only full-length project. Yet, whether it's turning heads on the red carpet or amusing fans with her charming social media posts, Cardi never fails to captivate.
Last week, she debuted her new commercial for Beats Studio Buds + headphones. The in-ear device boasts clearer calls and superb noise cancellation.
In the commercial, Cardi can be seen talking on the phone while walking around a living room. She then transitions to a store and then a recording studio.
When tweeting out the ad, she wrote, "Beats Studio Buds Plus. A brand new way to listen to ya favorite Cardi song."
According to the official website, Beats Studio Buds + feature a powerful, balanced sound, Active Noise Cancelling (ANC), and Transparency mode with enhanced Apple & Android compatibility, up to 36 hours of listening time with charging case2 and four ear tip options to ensure a comfortable all-day fit.
They retail for $169.
The trendsetting rapper also recently shared a video of celebrity hairstylist Tokyo Styles putting temporary tattoos on a blonde wig, according to Revolt. The visual sent social media into a frenzy with many comparing it to a style previously worn by Nicki Minaj.
The "Up" rapper addressed the frenzy with a tweet using a popular GIF of Marsai Martin, writing, "Why is me putting a [tattoo] on my hair causing such a frenzy? It was never that serious. Must be ’cause I’m that girl.”
The hits for the "it girl" just keep coming with Cardi starring in a new ad this week for her vodka-infused cream Whipshots as well.
According to the company, Cardi's flavors have sold over one million cans.
