NY Post Dragged To Salty Hell For Editorial Saying Michelle Obama Is A ‘Money-Making Hypocrite’

"She hasn't done ANYTHING different than any other former 1st lady or Pres. Shame on you."

The New York Post is getting slammed as “salty” and “irrelevant” after publishing an editorial with the titular opinion “Michelle Obama’s Money-Making Hypocrisy Is Laughable.”

For eight years under the Obama administration, Michelle Obama became one the best damn first lady’s this country has ever seen. Now, as a private citizen, Mrs. Obama continues to spread her wisdom with her highly anticipated memoir, Becoming, and the only thing people find laughable is writer Maureen Callahan’s attempt to smear her legacy.

In the editorial, Callahan claimed Obama’s 10-city book tour, which sold tickets of varying prices, is a privileged occasion that alienates the type of people that Obama grew up with.

“How nice it might have been for the poorest of today’s Chicago, the little girls who currently live as the young Michelle Obama did, if they could have attended this event. It’s hard to believe that this thought didn’t occur to her, or anyone on her team, but she’s clearly that far gone,” Callahan wrote without mentioning the several intimate visits to schools and girls programs the former first lady made as well.

The writer then went on to slam the tour for selling merchandise and profiting from Mrs. Obama’s famous lines.

“Among the items on sale at the event: a “Find Your Voice” mug, just like the one next to Obama at tonight’s inaugural event, for $20; a “Find Your Flame and Keep It Lit” candle, $35; “Becoming” hoodie, $65, baseball cap, $35, and tote, $30; a “When They Go Low, We Go High” T-shirt, $35; a keychain, $15, pencils and a bookmark, $10,” she wrote.

She later asked, “Is it any surprise that nearly 50 percent of Democrats, as of April 2017, said that their own party is out of touch with the worries of average Americans?”

While Callahan — who did at one point say Obama executed the job as first lady perfectly — was trying to suggest the Obamas have lost touch of their humble beginnings, people on Twitter thought she was being a hater.
