Record Producer Calvin Harris Marries Radio 1 Host Vick Hope
Calvin Harris and Vick Hope are now united as one.
PEOPLE reports that the DJ wed the Radio 1 host Vick Hope on Saturday (September 9) in northeast England in an outdoor ceremony on the grounds of Hulne Priory, Alnwick, Northumberland.
For the reception, Nile Rodgers and Chic flew in from the U.S. to perform for the couple. The band kept the party jumping with covers including "Never Too Much" by Luther Vandross, among other hits by Madonna and Pharrell, as cited by The Sun U.K.
Moments before the couple said “I do”, they exchanged personal vows and listened to poems. A source told the outlet their big day will forever be one to remember.
“Calvin and Vick’s wedding was a day none of their guests will ever forget,” said the source.
“Their vows were really emotional and the marriage ceremony included poems like Ernest Hemmingway’s "If There’s Empty Spaces In Your Heart" and Lori Eberhai’s "Devoted." They didn’t stop smiling all day. Calvin and Vick are so clearly madly in love; it was a truly beautiful day.”
Their ceremony also included a ten-minute firework display along with 80 tents for guests to relax in.
For dinner, attendees feasted on burgers, pizza, and Nigerian cuisine in honor of Hope’s ancestry.
The now-bride sparked engagement rumors in May 2022 when she was spotted wearing an Emerald-cut diamond engagement ring with the “Where Have You Been” producer at the Chelsea Flower Show in London. While at that event, she dodged a question when asked if she and the hitmaker had set a date.
"You know what, I was very overwhelmed by the interest in it, but I'm keeping my private life private," Hope told the outlet. "I've never really experienced this before about my private life, but it's just for us."
