Is There a B2K Reunion Tour in the Works?
2017 is definitely the year of the comeback.
After long-awaited reunions and biopics from figures of hip-hop and R&B’s golden years, like Tupac, New Edition, Xscape and 2 Live Crew, the late ‘90s and early 2000s are up next.
That means a reunion tour from iconic heartthrob R&B boys quartet B2K is right on time, and one of the group’s members may have just confirmed that for the fans.
Pleasure P of a fellow R&B boys group Pretty Ricky must have been experiencing a bout of nostalgia on Monday (July 3) and expressed it in the form of a B2K Instagram post. P threw up B2K’s eponymous 2002 album with a heartfelt caption tagging all four of the members and yearning for a possible reunion. After revealing that him and the other three men of Pretty Ricky have had their ups and downs, but were still able to reconcile for the fans, he believes Omarion, Raz-B, J-Boog and Lil’ Fizz should follow suit.
“There was a time where we couldn't even be in the same room together,” the “Grind On Me” crooner wrote, “Now we better than ever, selling out shows, giving our fans who've patiently waited for us what they've been waiting for.”
He even made light of other hip-hop and R&B group collectives who have been able to set their differences aside, such as the aforementioned New Edition crew.
“If New Edition, Backstreet Boyz, New Kids On The Block, Jodeci, Dru Hill, 112, can do it, you guys can,” P continued. “I'm a fan of B2K and would love to see you all get back on the stage together. Even if we didn't tour together, I would love to see you guys together.”
Raz-B showed up in the comments section of the post to not only agree with the sentiments, but in a surprising twist, confirm that a B2K reunion tour was already underway, and the organizers would love to have Pretty Ricky tag along, too.
“You’re right!” Raz-B responded. “Actually, it’s in the works…and the promoter wants y’all in the tour.”
We can practically hear the girls squealing from the front row, now!
