In its 17th annual list of ranking the movers and shakers who are shaping life in America, Vanity Fair has given a shout out to hip-hop titan and entrepreneur Jay-Z.
Hov ranks 21 on this year's list, which assembles the top 50 "innovative new breed of buccaneering visionaries, engineering prodigies, and entrepreneurs, who quite often sport hoodies, floppy hair, and backpacks."
The upper echelon of "The New Establishment" is dominated by tech gurus, with the top 5 spots secured by luminaries like Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and Google's Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
The seemingly unimpeachable Hov, who heads up Roc Nation Records and management and recently acquired the Billionaire Boys Club clothing line, was honored earlier in the year by Fortune magazine, which named him number one on the list of hip hop's highest earners.
